We love food! Wake up to any of the following breakfasts or talk with us if you have special requirements. Our delicious breakfasts are served to your door between 7am-9.30am. You can make your choice from our website the night of your arrival.


French Crepes

Jenny and a friend set up the first crepe stall at the Whanganui River Traders Market so she’s made a few! Choose from: the classic, sugar and freshly squeezed lemon; banana with grated chocolate and marscapone served on the side; apple with cinnamon sugar; or if you prefer savoury, why not try our ham egg and cheese.


Bircher Muesli

Our blend of steel cut and wholegrain oats soaked over night in apple juice and served with freshly grated apple, seasonal fruits and yoghurt.


The Free Ranger

Free range eggs poached or scrambled, Browns BnB “one-of-a-kind” potato cake, free range bacon and sausage.



Porridge, but not as you know it. Our blend of steel cut and rolled oats served with yoghurt, home grown poached fruit or berries when in season and drizzled with Rewarewa honey.



KIST – Keep it simple, toast. Whole grain, ciabatta or fruit bread. Choose from homemade jams, Rewarewa honey, zested orange butter… or if you are a “vegemite person”, a “marmite person” or you always have peanut butter and jelly let us know!

We can create gluten free or vegetarian options, as well as picnic lunches and delicious dinners.

Our Philosophy

At Browns Boutique BnB we are all about supporting free range products and animal welfare, therefore our breakfast sausages and bacon are free range meat, grown in NZ. Our eggs are free range and when possible come from our very own chickens. As much as possible, the produce we use is as local as we can get and nearly always from within NZ.

We are teaming up with a local farm on the Whanganui River who will be replanting 50 hectares of riverbank and hillside farmland with a mix of native and other trees and plant life, restoring an old orchard and regenerating a wetland for birdlife. So, for every visit our guests make, we will plant a new tree on this farm to help offset the carbon footprint.
